Education ministry declares Friday, February 23, as a school holiday

The Education ministry has declared Friday, February 23, as a school holiday as part of the national mourning arrangements for the funeral weekend of President Hage Geingob. Sanet Steenkamp, the Ministry’s Executive Director, confirmed the announcement.

Meanwhile, the Information and Communication Technology minister, Emma Theofelus announced that 18 Heads of State are to attend the memorial and State Funeral services of the late President Hage Geingob, while 27 countries are to be represented.
