Tsjaka Residents Advocate for Comprehensive Solutions in NDP6 Consultation

today21 February, 2024

Background

Residents of Tsjaka in the Omaheke Region actively engaged in a consultative meeting on the sixth National Development Plan, shedding light on crucial challenges affecting their community. Foremost among these concerns is the acute shortage of water, compounded by the disappointment of finding government-drilled boreholes in the area to be dry. Beyond water issues, residents expressed worries about insufficient land for local farmers, hurdles in rural electrification, and deficiencies in school infrastructure, encompassing classrooms and teacher accommodation. As the community collaborates with the National Planning Commission, they stress the importance of robust and comprehensive solutions to address these pressing issues.
