With South Africa’s Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana presenting the country’s budget yesterday, development economist Dr. Nthabiseng Moleko shared with Newzroom Afrika that the budget has shifted its focus towards accounting and fund allocation.

Meanwhile at home, the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises has set aside 28 February 2024, for the tabling of the 2024/2025 budget. Salomo Hei the Managing Director at High Economic Intelligence says because it’s an election year, he expects the minister to address the high unemployment rate.
