The late President Hage Geingob will be laid to rest on Sunday in one of the specially reserved rooms for presidents at Heroes’ Acre, according to a senior government source who confirmed this information. The mausoleums at Heroes’ Acre were constructed to align with international standards for honoring national heroes and heroines, as explained by Salomon April, the current governor of the Hardap region and former director of the National Heritage Council. April highlighted that these mausoleums were inspired by global best practices in preserving the heritage of countries, specifically in the burial practices that honor leaders of hero status.
