City of Tshwane Deploys Additional Personnel to Address Storm-Related Power Outages

The City of Tshwane mobilizes extra personnel from the Electricity and Energy Department to region three following severe thunderstorms that inflicted widespread damage and power outages. The storms resulted in uprooted trees, fallen branches on roads and power lines, causing prolonged blackouts in Pretoria and neighboring areas. Lindela Mashigo of the city states that a supplementary team has been assembled to enhance capacity and expedite repairs, as technicians are facing challenges due to the extensive restoration backlog.
