Namibia has presented oral statements at The International Court of Justice concerning Israel’s actions in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The country was represented by Justice Minister Yvonne Dausab and International lawyer Phoebe Okowa. Dausab stressed to the ICJ Namibia’s moral obligation to address the issue, citing historical context and invoking late president Hage Geingob’s condemnation of violence in Gaza. Their focus was on advocating for justice and peace in the region. The Justice Ministry’s spokesperson, Edmund //Khoaseb.

US President Joe Biden says a new deal for a temporary ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas is close, and hopefully, this will be agreed to by next week Monday. The deal would see Hamas release more hostages, Israel releasing several Palestinian prisoners, and hundreds of aid trucks entering Gaza safely.
