The Deputy Commissioner of Crime Investigations for the ||Kharas Region, Nikodemus Mbango, revealed on Sunday that the Namibian Police Force in Lüderitz is actively seeking a 16-year-old boy who managed to escape custody. The escape is believed to have occurred between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM on Saturday. Authorities suspect that the teenager manipulated the cell door locks using an unidentified object, enabling him to open both the cell door and the main exit. Subsequently, he allegedly leaped over the station wall and fled from the coastal town.
