Annually, on 8 March, the world commemorates International Women’s Day.  This year’s theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” focuses on the 5th Sustainable Development Goal.  Women from all walks of life will gather at the Windhoek Country Club and Resort on 8 March 2024 for the Letshego Women’s Conference.  The event will unite inspirational women from diverse backgrounds to connect and empower one another.

The Letshego Women’s Conference, in collaboration with Exquisite Conferencing, aims to provide a platform for women to share their stories, celebrate their achievements, and discuss challenges and the tools needed to overcome them.  With the theme “Sisterhood, Sand & Stories Untold,” the event will showcase keynote speaker Ms. Karen Abercrombie, an award-winning actress, producer, and singer-songwriter from the USA, popularly known for her role in the award-winning film War Room.

Gwen Snyders of Exquisite anticipates a day full of knowledge, networking and inspiration from the astounding line-up of speakers.

Letshego Namibia, as the lead sponsor, has invested N$400,000 towards this event, seeing the importance of such discussions to be highlighted on International Women’s Day.  “The conference aims to empower women to break through barriers, embrace leadership roles, and champion change in their communities and beyond.  Through thought-provoking discussions and collaborative initiatives, attendees will gain practical and valuable insights to navigate challenges and seize opportunities for advancement.  Such initiatives align with our core values of improving lives,” confirmed CEO Dr Ester Kali.

Participants will be able to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful partnerships for collective impact.  Twelve women have been selected to grace the program, and each speaker will add a different perspective from the various industries they lead.  The phenomenal speakers are Karen Abercrombie, Dr Ester Kali, Rosalia Martins-Hausiku, Patty Karuaihe-Martin, Mutindi Lydia Jacobs, Natalie Russmann, Dr Nellie Kangwa, Rachel Nathaniel-Kock, Dr Martha Uumati, Emilia Nghikembua and Olivia Kangandjela.

More than 300 savvy businesswomen with diverse backgrounds passions and in pursuit for a day of candid conversation, provocative thoughts, and workable solutions are anticipated to attend.  For more information about this event, contact Gwen Snyders at 0812005244.
