Namibian Delegation Attends World Youth Festival in Russia to Promote Youth Empowerment and Diplomacy

A delegation of 90 young Namibians, led by Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth, and National Service, Emma Kantema-Gaomas, actively participated in the 2024 World Youth Festival held in Sochi, Russia, from March 1 to March 7. This festival, recognized as the largest youth event globally, gathered 20,000 young leaders from Russia and around the world, providing a platform for cultural exchange, youth empowerment, and discussions on global challenges. During the Global Forum of Young Diplomats on March 3, Deputy Minister Kantema-Gaomas emphasized Namibia’s commitment to leveraging its youth bulge as an opportunity.
