The Agra Agricultural Academy, under management of Agra ProVision marked a significant milestone in its journey of educational excellence with a record-breaking agricultural graduation ceremony on Friday, 8 March 2024, at the well-known Agra Bank Windhoek Ring.

This event celebrated the 4th group of graduates since the Academy’s inception in 2021, with 34 candidates receiving their National Certificates and Diplomas in the following fields; Agric Sales & Services, Animal Production and Plant Production, making it the largest group to graduate from the Academy to date.

The graduation ceremony was a momentous occasion not only for the graduates but also for the Academy, as it showcased the largest group of Agra employees to graduate in a single cohort.

Theo Ickua, Manager at Agra ProVision, addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of this achievement and the growth of the Academy over the years. In a proud moment for the organization, Arnold Klein, CEO of Agra, expressed his admiration for the 27 Agra graduates, particularly the Agra employees who also enrolled and graduated.

“I am proud of all our Agra employees who have graduated. At Agra, we are ‘Hooked on Results,’ and it is wonderful to see our employees also live our company values,” said Klein.

The ceremony was further distinguished by Johann Stassen, Managing Director for the International Agricultural Academy for Africa.

Special thanks were extended to Mr. Stassen for gracing the graduation ceremony with his presence and for capping the talented students. His participation added a significant international dimension to the event, emphasizing the global importance of agricultural education and collaboration.

Family and friends of the graduates, including EXCO members from Agra, were in attendance to celebrate the accomplishments of their loved ones.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as each graduate walked across the stage to receive their diploma, marking the culmination of their hard work and the beginning of their promising futures in the agricultural sector.

The Agra Agricultural Academy continues to set the bar high for agricultural education in Namibia, with each graduating class surpassing the achievements of the last.

This year’s record-breaking graduation ceremony is not just a testament to the success of the Academy’s educational programs but also a reflection of its vital role in nurturing the next generation of agricultural professionals.
