Namibia’s population increases to more than 3 million

According to the 2023 Namibia Population and Housing Census conducted by the Namibia Statistics Agency, the country’s total population on 24 September 2023, stood at 3,022,401 (three million twenty-two thousand four hundred one). The enumeration period spanned from September 25 to October 6, 2023. Preliminary findings reveal that females make up 51.2% of the population, while males account for 48.8%. Statistician-General, Alex Shimuafeni says the final results may slightly differ from the statistics presented in the preliminary report.
