President Nangolo Mbumba praised President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana for his support to the Namibian people following the recent loss of former President Hage Geingob. Addressing a memorial service in Gaborone organized by the Botswana government, Mbumba lauded Masisi for fostering a strong and fraternal bond with the late Geingob. He highlighted Masisi’s significant gesture as the first Head of State to visit Geingob after his surgery last year. Additionally, Mbumba acknowledged Masisi as the foreign leader who promptly traveled to Windhoek within 48 hours of Geingob’s passing on February 4, 2024, to offer condolences to his family.
