SA’s Minister Motshekga Urges Collaboration for Targeted Teacher Training

During the conclusion of the Basic Education Lekgotla in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, SA Minister Angie Motshekga urged the Department of Higher Education and Training, in partnership with Higher Education institutions, to enhance their enrolment planning. Motshekga emphasized the need for aligning graduate output with the demand for specialized teaching skills, particularly in the foundation phase. This includes a focus on educators proficient in mother tongue instruction.
