Disagreement Among LPM Councillors Over Rabbit Purchase in Hardap Region

Background

Regional councillors representing the Landless People’s Movement at the Hardap Regional Council are in disagreement after the council reportedly purchased 120 rabbits without an official resolution. The party, with six councillors on the regional council, faces internal conflict over the matter. According to one councillor, Harald Kumbrude, the rabbits were purchased from Cadema Farming in February. Cadema Farming is owned by LPM women’s league leader Margreth du Toit and her husband, Deon, from Rehoboth.
