today25 March, 2024

Background

Farmers in Ezorongondo, located in the Epukiro constituency of the Omaheke region, organized a farmer’s information day on Friday to tackle issues concerning animal fodder, vaccines, and livestock maintenance during drought. This event, held for the second consecutive year, drew farmers from neighboring villages such as Okanguindi and Okajombo, demonstrating a keen interest in learning from experts. Frank Kanguatjivi, the Technical Advisor for communal areas at Feedmaster, emphasized the need for farmers to take decisive actions to enhance their water supply, as inadequate water access contributes significantly to livestock losses during drought periods.
