Security Guard Shot and Robbed in Ondangwa Incident

Background

According to Frida Shikole, the Namibian Police Force Community Policing Sub-division Inspector for Oshana, a 45-year-old security guard was reportedly shot in the head and robbed of his service shotgun and cellphone on Sunday. The incident allegedly occurred at Omwandi waKamanya in Ondangwa around 05:30am. Shikole stated that the victim had just finished his night shift and was on his way home when he was attacked by three unknown male suspects. They shot him in the head with a pistol and took his work Baikal shotgun and cellphone. The victim was admitted to Onandjokwe District Hospital in critical condition and later transferred to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital.
