Former businessman turned activist Michael Amushelelo has acknowledged that several clients of his ‘affordable housing project’ are now seeking refunds due to significant delays. Amushelelo had launched a housing initiative in Brakwater back in 2021, aiming to provide 150 unserviced plots and affordable homes for middle-income earners struggling to secure home loans. However, what was initially a promising endeavor has evolved into a disappointment for many, as the project has lingered for four years without substantial progress. Complicating matters further, Amushelelo finds himself embroiled in a legal battle facing 365 charges related to an alleged Ponzi scheme.
