Namasiku Nalisa, the Public Relations Manager for B2Gold Mine Namibia, revealed that the voluntary retrenchment process at Otjikoto B2Gold Mine near Otjiwarongo, initiated in March last year, is anticipated to continue throughout 2024. Nalisa explained that the current phase remains voluntary, with compulsory retrenchments slated for 2025. Approximately 300 employees, primarily from the open pit mining department, are impacted by the retrenchments, stemming from the decline in gold deposits.
