International Relations and Cooperation minister, Peya Mushelenga, has expressed Namibia’s growing concern over developments in the Middle East. In a statement, Mushelenga highlighted the potential for current events to escalate into a broader conflict in the region and beyond. He emphasized Namibia’s call for maximum restraint to avoid exacerbating the already delicate situation underscoring that attacks, counterattacks, and threats of reprisals are detrimental to peace, a commitment all United Nations members pledged to uphold upon joining the organization.
