Minister Settles Travel Allowance Debt as ACC Confirms

The executive director of higher education, training, and innovation, Alfred van Kent, confirmed that Minister Itah Kandjii-Murangi has completely repaid the travel allowance debt owed to the ministry. Earlier, Paulus Noa, director general of the Anti-Corruption Commission, had instructed Kandjii-Murangi and her personal assistant, Lungenesia Uaseupuani, to return a combined sum of N$69,000 out of N$952,000 received in travel allowances for 2022. The deadline for repayment was set by Noa to the end of April.
