Fatal Accident on B8 Road Leaves One Dead and Several Injured

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday on the B8 road between Mururani and Grootfontein, resulting in the instant death of a 38-year-old man. Namibian Police Force reported that a 16-seater minibus overturned and rolled several times, allegedly due to a burst left rear tyre, causing the driver to lose control. The bus, traveling from Rundu to Grootfontein, had 14 other occupants who sustained injuries ranging from slight to serious. They were all taken to Grootfontein State Hospital. The deceased has not yet been identified, and the driver faces a culpable homicide charge. Police investigations are ongoing.
