S.A’s Democratic Alliance has accused union federation Cosatu of being an enemy to the ten-million unemployed people. The party says the ANC, Cosatu, and the South African Communist Party, is an unholy alliance, which has contributed to the high unemployment rates through deliberate economic exclusion policies. With unemployment rates soaring to nearly 33-percent, the party claims the true minimum wage for many South Africans is zero. DA’s Mat Cuthbert pledges to protect existing workers while creating new job opportunities for the unemployed:
