Trans Kalahari Corridor Cycle Challenge Evaluates Technology Integration and Land Use

Cynthia Haimbodi, Deputy Director of Transport Policy at the Ministry of Works and Transport, highlights the ongoing 1,800-kilometer cycle challenge along the Trans Kalahari Corridor. The event, part of the corridor’s 20th anniversary celebrations, involves cyclists from Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. Emphasizing the significance of the challenge, Haimbodi underscores its aim to assess technology integration and land use along the corridor. The cycling journey, spanning from Rustenburg, South Africa, to Walvis Bay port, serves to evaluate various factors including transportation modes, infrastructure design, and smart land-use planning.
