“Time is now” for Gaza ceasefire deal, says top US diplomat

“The time is now” for a deal between Israel and Hamas, according to U.S Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. America’s top diplomat is finishing yet another Middle East tour aimed at agreeing a ceasefire in Gaza. Secretary Blinken says “there is a proposal on the table” which would bring about a truce in return for the release of remaining Israeli hostages still held in the war-torn territory.
