New Education Director Assumes Office in Zambezi Region

Alex Sikume, formerly the Deputy Director of Corporate Planning Division in Windhoek, has taken on the role of Education Director in the Zambezi Region. He succeeds Josty Kawana, who retired after a long tenure in the position. During Sikume’s introduction, Ministry officials emphasized the need for unity and support to maintain and improve educational standards in the region. Sikume echoed this sentiment, calling for teamwork and active participation from all stakeholders to achieve academic excellence. The transition from Kawana to Sikume was praised for its smoothness, ensuring continuity in leadership. Kawana was lauded for his humility and dedication during his 36-year career in public service.
