Otjiwarongo Municipality Appoints New CEO: Mberipura Hifitikeko

Otjiwarongo’s municipality  has appointed Mberipura Hifitikeko as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from June 1. Hifitikeko, previously an executive at TransNamib in Windhoek, was approved for the position by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development. Petros Kuteeue will serve as acting CEO until Hifitikeko assumes the role. The municipality has been without a permanent CEO since July 2023, following the departure of Moses Matyayi, who now heads the City of Windhoek. Additionally, the municipality aims to fill vacant strategic executive positions by the end of the year.
