Fatal Crash: Cessna F406 Aircraft Plunges into Windhoek Residential Area, Claiming Three Lives as investigations commence

A Cessna F406 light aircraft took off from Eros Airport with three occupants, to conduct a maintenance test flight and crashed into the residential premises in Rieckmann Street, Pioneers Park, Windhoek. All three people died on the spot and were burned beyond recognition. The police will issue a comprehensive report as soon as the crime scene investigations are finalised. We spoke to Magnus Abraham, the Head of the Directorate of Aircraft Investigations in the Ministry of Works and Transport.

Magnus further explains the investigation process and what is required from a civil aviation position to accurately report the incident.
