today8 May, 2024

Background

Two additional suspects, 23 year-old Tashiya Nandomba and Joslin Booysen who’s 21, appeared in the Katutura Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of Christoph Fredericks, a transgender woman. Fredericks was brutally stabbed 42 times, with mutilation of the body. Tashiya and Booysen are accused of aiding the initial teenage suspects, Namwandi Nandomba and Mervin Beukes by washing their clothes, attempting to obstruct justice. All four suspects, including Tashiya’s brother Namwandi and Beukes, have been denied bail due to the severity of the charges and concerns about interference with the investigation.
