Swapo Party Aims to Reclaim Two-Thirds Majority Lost in 2019 Elections

Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa of the ruling Swapo Party expressed the party’s goal to regain the two-thirds majority it lost in the 2019 general elections. At a mini rally in Tuhingireni informal settlement, Shaningwa highlighted the historical support from the Kavango regions and emphasized the importance of mobilizing voters for the upcoming elections in June and November 2024. Additionally, she advocated for the revival of green schemes in Kavango East and West regions to ensure food self-sufficiency and local employment.
