Tragic Drowning of 24-Year-Old Man in Kavango River

Mathias Lisovi, a 24-year-old man, drowned in the Kavango River at Siyena village in the Kavango West Region. The incident occurred around 6am on Wednesday, confirmed by Namibian Police Force Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga. Lisovi was preparing to cross the river in a canoe with his mother when he slipped and fell into the water. Despite immediate search efforts by police and community members, he has not been located yet. His clothing and sandals were found at the scene, and investigations are ongoing.
