The MTC Dome and the Department of Physiology at the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Health Sciences have formalized a collaboration focused on enhancing neuroscience research. With a recently signed memorandum of understanding, the partnership aims to merge the expertise and resources of both institutions to investigate the intersection of high-performance sport and neuroscience. Fanus Engelbrecht, CEO of MTC Dome, highlighted that the primary goal of this collaboration is to provide postgraduate physiology students from UP with opportunities for research within the Neuroscience Lab, commonly referred to as the ‘braingym’ at the MTC Dome.
