today16 May, 2024

Background

South Africa’s Automobile Association forecasts notable reductions in fuel prices come June. According to preliminary data from the country’s Central Energy Fund, it’s anticipated that 95-octane petrol will decrease by approximately 61 cents per liter, while 93-octane petrol will see a drop of around 63 cents. Diesel prices are expected to dip by about 74 cents per liter. The association attributes these potential decreases primarily to a stronger rand and reduced international oil prices.
