The Cancer Association of Namibia’s annual Rough and Tough Rally for Cancer in Damaraland from 16 to 19 May brought together over 430 participants, including 133 antique cars, raising over N$1.6 million to support cancer initiatives. WO30 CEO, Rolf Hansen clarified that the funds will aid in decentralizing critical healthcare, establishing cancer clinics nationwide, and expanding Palliative Care Namibia. Hansen also addressed and dismissed false claims linking COVID-19 vaccines to increased cancer rates in Namibia, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based information and cautioning against the spread of harmful misinformation.
