South Africa Supports ICC’s Move for Arrest Warrants Against Israeli PM Netanyahu

Background

South Africa has welcomed International Criminal Court chief prosecutor, Karim Khan’s application for arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his Defence minister Yoav Gallant, and three leaders of Hamas. The arrest warrants are for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. S.A President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya, says the law must be applied equally to all to uphold the international rule of law and ensure accountability for those who commit heinous crimes:
