Ireland, Norway and Spain officially recognise Palestine as State

Ireland, Norway and Spain have announced they will recognise Palestine as an independent state. Israel’s describing it as a “distorted step” and ordered the immediate recall of its ambassadors to those countries. Irish premier Simon Harris says it’s an important moment. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre says there cannot be peace in the Middle East without recognition. He says by recognising a Palestinian state, Norway supports the Arab peace plan.
