ECN Launches Campaign to Boost Voter Registration and Participation for 2024 Elections

The Electoral Commission of Namibia is intensifying efforts to ensure all eligible voters register and participate in the upcoming November general elections. Aiming for a 77% voter turnout, a 10% increase from 2019, ECN is conducting a comprehensive voter education campaign. Chief Electoral Officer Peter Shaama praised political parties for encouraging voter registration. The campaign, focused on first-time voters, runs until August 1, under the slogan “Step up for your right, register to vote.”
