Tjongarero officiated the groundbreaking of Ondangwa Stadium

The Sport, Youth and National Service minister, Agnes Tjongarero, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony of the Northern Namibian High Performance Sports Centre at Ondangwa in the Oshana Region on Friday.

Speaking at the event Tjongarero said momentous occasion signifies not just the beginning of a construction project, but the dawn of a new era for thecommunity, youth, and the future of sports in Ondangwa.

Adding that the dream of building a state-of the art sports stadium has been a long-cherished vision for many.

“We take the first tangible step towards transforming this vision into reality and this stadium will serve as a beacon of hope, a hub of activity, and a cornerstone for the development of sports in our region” she narrated.

She further indicated that the stadium is being built with the youth in mind and that shows commitment to provide them with facilities and opportunities they need to nurture their talents, pursue their passions, and achieve their dreams.

” Sports teach us invaluable life lessons: discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of striving for excellence, Through sports, you will not only build physical strength but also character and resilience that will serve you well in all aspects of life, ” Tjongarero says.
