Zambezi Governor Urges Patience Awaiting Delimitation Commission’s Decision on New Constituencies

Zambezi Governor, Lawrence Sampofu has called for calm as residents await the Fifth Boundaries Delimitation and Demarcation Commission’s response to their proposals. Although the timeline for feedback is uncertain, a decision is expected this year. The region, currently with eight constituencies, may see the addition of three more, including a highly anticipated Bwabwata constituency. Proposals also include renaming and restructuring existing constituencies. The Commission is evaluating whether changes to current boundaries are necessary and beneficial.
