Man Allegedly Shot by Security Guard in Omusati Region

A 24-year-old man was allegedly shot by a security guard at Olukanvu village in the Omusati Region on Monday. According to Commissioner, Ismael Basson of the Namibian Police Force, the incident took place at a shebeen in Ombetele location. The man and his friends had bought and consumed drinks without any issues earlier in the evening. However, after the bar closed, the man returned, claiming he had not received his change. Basson stated that the man became very aggressive and, despite the security guard advising him to return the next morning, he refused and began threatening the guard.
