The Education, Arts, and Culture ministry collaborates with the Health and Social Services ministry for a comprehensive nationwide learner health survey, running from July to August 2024. Led by Executive Director Sanet Steenkamp, the survey aims to gather crucial data on vaping and other health issues among learners, informing targeted interventions and assessing the impact of past measures. The initiative also includes a pilot project with the University of Namibia to establish a School Health Research Network, aiming for regular data collection on youth health trends.
