Tragic Head-On Collision Claims Eight Lives on Otavi-Otjiwarongo Road

A fatal accident occurred on the Otavi-Otjiwarongo B1 road in the Otjozondjupa Region this afternoon, claiming the lives of eight people. According to Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha of the Namibian Police Force, the accident involved a head-on collision between two vehicles. The collision happened approximately 20 kilometers south of Otavi when a vehicle overtaking another collided with an oncoming seven-seater, killing all eight occupants in the seven-seater. Police are still on the scene, and investigations are ongoing.
