National Planning Commission Director General Blames Political Infighting for Stalled Development Projects

Obeth Kandjoze, Director General of Namibia’s National Planning Commission, criticized local and regional councils for failing to complete development projects, attributing the delays to political coalitions’ internal conflicts. Kandjoze highlighted that funds are often returned to the Treasury due to councillors’ inability to reach consensus, prioritizing party rivalries over public interests. His remarks came amidst discussions on the green hydrogen project during his visit to the Kunene Region.
