Local leaders recognised for upholding democratic principles

Kevin Casas-Zamora, Secretary General of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, has praised Namibia’s political leadership for their dedication to upholding the rule of law. The Namibia Press Agency reports that during his official visit, he engaged with political figures, including President Nangolo Mbumba, discussing global democracy trends. During a presentation on Tuesday about the global state of democracy, Casas-Zamora commended political actors, including President Mbumba, for their commitment to democratic principles.
