Trade Minister Urges Certification for HVAC Practitioners by 2025

Trade minister, Lucia Iipumbu has mandated that all heat, ventilation, and cooling sector practitioners in Namibia must be certified by 2025. Speaking during World Refrigeration Day, she stressed that certification will be necessary for handling refrigerants and for participating in tenders. This move aims to enhance safety and protect practitioners. Oshana Governor Elia Irimari supported this, highlighting the sector’s importance and the need to address climate change and environmental sustainability.
