Police Arrest 136 for Drug Possession Worth Nearly N$ 8 Million in May

The Namibian Police Force arrested 136 individuals for drug possession in May, with the drugs valued at almost N$8 million. NamPol's Head of Public Relations, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, reported that 127 of those arrested are Namibian, while the rest include nationals from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Congo, and Tanzania. Search Continues for Missing Individuals After Flooding in Nelson Mandela Bay And Eastern Cape

Police and Rescue Diving Units In S.A are still searching for missing people following last week's flooding in large parts of Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape. Ten people died in severe storms and heavy rains that battered and caused extreme damage in many areas of the metro. Police spokesperson, Priscilla Naidu, says the areas most affected are KwaNobuhle, Kariega, Walmer, Blue Horizon Bay, and Kamesh.
