Murder-Suicide, Reckless Driving and Armed Robbery Mark The Past Weekend

On Friday, the country witnessed three significant criminal incidents. At 2am in Ehafo Village, Elia Shitongeni Hamukwaya, 38, allegedly killed his girlfriend, Emilia Nangombe, 34, before hanging himself near his family homestead. Later, at around 3pm in Otjiwarongo, a 48-year-old taxi driver collided with a 51-year-old cyclist, causing minor to moderate injuries. The police reports indicates that the day ended with an armed robbery passed 9pm at the Orange River Shell in Noordoewer. Police investigations are ongoing in all cases.
