Namibia-Ghana JPCC strengthens bilateral ties

Namibia is hosting the 5th Session of the Namibia-Ghana Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation, at both Ministerial and Senior Officials’ level, from today until 4 July 2024, in Swakopmund. Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Peya Mushelenga, will co-chair the Ministerial Session with Shirley Botchwey, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana. Executive Director of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, Penda Naanda.

 

 

The 5th JPCC will assess the progress of bilateral agreements and cooperation memoranda across various sectors such as trade, agriculture, fisheries, transport, education, youth, sports, and culture, among other areas.

Moreover, during the JPCC session, the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation said on trade and investment, the two sides are expected to further explore how to accelerate trade between each other.

Similarly, Ghana will also look to expedite exporting its products to the Namibian market, he added.
