Prime Minister Modi to respond to opposition in Indian Parliament

A day after opposition leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi in Parliament, Modi will formally respond in India’s Lower House. Modi came back to power this month with a reduced mandate even as the opposition put up its best showing in a decade. A resurgent opposition has been targeting Modi’s Hindu nationalist party for failing to address rising prices and an unemployment crisis, and also for failing to crackdown on attacks against minority communities.
