Electoral Commission Pressures NEFF for Financial Statements, Party Faces Deregistration

According to reports,the Electoral Commission has been actively seeking financial statements from the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters  since 2021. Despite multiple engagements, NEFF failed to submit required documents, leading to its deregistration by the ECN. NEFF’s deputy leader intends to contest this decision. The ECN extended deadlines and provided clarifications on electoral regulations during meetings with NEFF, but compliance remains inconsistent among political parties
