Donald Trump’s sentencing has been postponed following the United States Supreme Court’s controversial decision to provide criminal immunity for US presidents. He was due to appear in court in New York next Thursday having been convicted for falsifying business records, a guilty verdict Trump says he’ll appeal. But the judge has confirmed the sentencing is officially delayed until mid-September after Trump argued his conviction should be overturned amid Monday’s landmark Supreme Court ruling, as Benji Hyer explains.
